Objet: Greetings from Finland
Dear Delphine,
We are all very satisfied with the holiday week. The country side with vineyards and cherry trees was very beautiful and old historical building interesting. It was also very pleasant to come back in the evening to the peaceful house with many special interior details which we loved very much. We also very much appreciate your warm and friendly welcome.Hope you have got a new family to the house enjoying the atmosphere as we did.
Many thanks and best wishes for a successful summer season. Warmest greetings to your mother as well.

Very comfortable stay. Many good places to visit.
Must recommend “Nigloland” for anyone with children 8 or Younger.
Plenty of Chablis + Gitanes with excellent food and people.
Good luck to Auxerre in the cup final tonight.
Hope you keep extanding your ideas and a swimming pool would be très bien.
Very relaxing and wish we could stay longer in France, but new baby and work are calling!

We shall not forget our stay at the Moulin…. The unique light and space and the delightful wine made it memorable. We have had a comfortable and relaxing time here, spending our mornings visiting nearrby towns, enjoying lunches and returning for a good nead.
Vezelay, Joigny, Toucy, Avallon, St-Florentin  and of course Auxerre were all interesting. I should not overlook Chablis which was our first point I call.
Margareth and Skee White, Brentwood, Essex.

Joy Leeks.

Just a domestic note for “Mama”. Markets Tuesday, Aillant and wed. Vezelay.
The peace to a restful holiday have been first class. The outside temperatures have made us soporific (at least 39°c does that to the writer). The birds, animals and lively rustcity have made the days fly by.
We have been very comfortable, well fed and generally at peace with the world. That may be due to the vin rosé (not our usual tipple, but delightful in this heat).
The “Moulin” can be recommanded highly for his excellence as a base and also for its style. Vive le Moulin! Vive saint-Georges!

A very very comfortable base. Everybody is so very charming and helpful. The donkey, horse, woodpeckers / tree creeper, buzzards, herons etc etc.. have given a great deal of pleasure. We have visited some beautiful and interesting places. High on list is Fontenay abbey, followed closely by Vezelay and saint-Fargeau and of course Auxerre. We have had a very good holiday. Can’t believe we have been here for 2 weeks.
Many thanks to Delphine and Madame Dupré for making our stay so enjoyable.
Pam and Bill Sherdan. Bekshire.
Ps: the tomatoes were gorgeous!

We have had a lovely time exploring this glorious region of France. We especially recommend the spectacle at st-Fargeau on a Friday or Saturday night (tickets available at door. No credit cards, only cash).
The costume museum at Avallon is very nice (ask for Sylvie for an english spealing guide) and english newspapers are available in avallon and Auxerre.
Disneyland took 2 hours to get to and cost 9 euro 20 cents on the peage and was very worth it. The lake near st-Fargeau is good for swimming and has a sandy beach.  Sens has a market on Monday and is a nice little town to visit. We also visited the wild animal park which is a good place for a picnic. In st-Georges there is a market on a Saturday and the little Atac supermarket is open on Sunday mornings, as is Champion on the way to Auxerre. Geant and cora are the best supermarkets and cora in particular has a nice air-conditioned café. Boulangerie in the village is very nice, and also open on Sunday morning but early!
We have had a very pleasant stay, Madame is very nice and will bring you some home grown vegetables unprompted, Delphine speaks perfect english.
Hope you enjoy your holiday as much as we have.
